We’re seeking a talented Budget Analyst to join our Finance team, supporting our mission to lead the aviation industry with precision and innovation.
As a Budget Analyst at Bombardier, you’ll be a key player in our Finance Department, based in our headquarters in Montréal, Canada, or one of our global facilities. You’ll oversee budgets for aircraft production, aftermarket services, and corporate operations, ensuring financial alignment with our strategic goals. Your expertise will drive cost efficiency, transparency, and informed decision-making, enabling Bombardier to maintain its competitive edge in the business aviation market.
You’ll lead the development of comprehensive budget plans and financial reports, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams to align resources with business priorities. You’ll present these insights to senior leadership, delivering clear, data-driven recommendations to support strategic decisions. Your role will include driving initiatives to optimize budgeting processes, such as improving forecasting accuracy or streamlining expense tracking, to enhance operational efficiency.
You’ll perform financial modeling, monitor budget performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities across our global operations. Providing strategic guidance to department managers, you’ll help them plan and execute budgets effectively, ensuring compliance with financial policies and industry standards. Your ability to build strong relationships will foster trust and collaboration, strengthening Bombardier’s financial framework.
You’ll also lead or contribute to the development of digital tools and system upgrades, working with IT to enhance budgeting and reporting capabilities. Representing the Finance team, you’ll support company-wide initiatives, such as new aircraft program launches or facility expansions, ensuring financial viability. Mentoring junior analysts, you’ll share your expertise, promote best practices, and nurture a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Education: A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A master’s degree, CPA, or CFA designation is an asset.
Experience: At least five years of experience in budget planning, financial analysis, or accounting, ideally in aerospace, manufacturing, or a related sector. You should excel at producing actionable financial reports, leading cross-functional projects, and providing strategic budget advice. Experience in aviation or global operations is a strong advantage.
Languages: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required. Proficiency in French or another language is a plus, given our global presence.
Systems: Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Power BI is desirable) and financial systems like SAP or Oracle. Familiarity with budgeting and ERP tools is preferred.
