Job Responsibilities

• Serve as KSEW’s primary technical interface with Karachi Port Trust (KPT) clients and other commercial ship owners, managing all client communications related to ship repair quotations, scheduling, scope of work, and service delivery status.
• Prepare detailed ship repair cost estimates by analyzing vessel specifications, damage assessments, class survey requirements, and historical repair data, producing competitive and technically accurate quotations for client approval.

• Manage client relationships proactively by providing regular progress updates, coordinating client visits, addressing service complaints, and ensuring overall client satisfaction with KSEW’s repair quality and schedule adherence.
• Review and finalize billing for completed ship repair jobs, verifying work completion against agreed scope, coordinating with the accounts team on invoice preparation, and resolving any client billing disputes professionally.
• Monitor market trends in regional ship repair, analyze competitor offerings, and provide the management team with data-driven recommendations to strengthen KSEW’s KPT desk commercial performance and market share.

Requirements & Qualifications

Job Responsibilities (All Three AM Roles)

• Plan, coordinate, and manage ship repair and maintenance activities within the assigned discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, or Hull), ensuring all work is executed safely, on schedule, and within the quality standards required by class societies and client specifications.

Fireman – Job Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated fire watch coverage during hot work operations (welding, grinding, cutting, and burning) on vessels in dry dock and afloat, remaining vigilant for fire ignition in the work area and adjacent spaces throughout the duration of each hot work permit.
• Operate shipyard fire suppression equipment including fire hose reels, portable extinguishers, foam systems, and CO₂ fixed installations, responding immediately to fire alarms or visible smoke with the appropriate firefighting agent and technique.
