Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the principal advisor on fire and safety arrangements for the Bank’s Head Office and all 16 Field Offices across the country.
  • Maintain and regularly update the Fire Protection Plan (FPP), establishing clear safety guidelines and emergency procedures for all employees.
  • Conduct regular inspections to verify that anti-fire measures are properly implemented and that fire safety equipment is correctly positioned and functional.
  • Carry out monthly inspections of portable fire extinguishers and other fire suppression systems, ensuring readiness and compliance with safety standards.
  • Identify, assess, and report fire hazards related to flammable liquids, gas containers, cylinders, and other hazardous materials within bank premises.
  • Liaise closely with the Engineering Department on fire safety matters, coordinating maintenance schedules for fire detection and suppression systems.
  • Plan and deliver structured training programs for firefighters and security guards on fire response procedures, equipment use, and emergency protocols.
  • Formulate and oversee implementation of security policies, advising Field Offices on safety matters and ensuring nationwide compliance with safety standards.
  • Act as the Business Continuity Planning (BCP) Coordinator, ensuring operational resilience plans are integrated with the Bank’s fire and safety protocols.
  • Supervise preparation of the annual budget for the Internal Bank Security Department (IBSD) and Internal Bank Security Units (IBSUs) across Field Offices.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from any HEC-recognized university; firefighting certifications and a degree in Business Administration are additional advantages
  • Experience: 10 years of experience in mechanical equipment operation and maintenance, including testing fire suppression systems and managing fire detection
  • Key Skills: Pakistan building codes/Fire Safety Provisions, fire suppression systems, baggage scanners, UVSS, CCTV systems, hydraulic road blockers, turnstiles; Pakistan Navy engineering branch officers preferred
  • Age Limit: Maximum 50 years as of the closing date of submission
