Job Responsibilities

• Take shorthand dictation from the officer during meetings, inspections and routine office work, and record every instruction accurately.
• Render shorthand notes into clean typed transcripts and submit them for the officer’s review without unnecessary delay.
• Perform general typing work, including letters, notices, case summaries and reports, using the department’s approved formats.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys of department land using Total Station, Theodolite and GPS equipment to record accurate measurements and coordinates.
• Carry out boundary demarcations of cantonment and military land and mark the limits clearly on the ground.
• Assess encroachments on department land through field measurement and prepare factual survey notes for the supervising officer.
• Prepare, update and digitize scale maps and layout plans using AutoCAD and GIS software.
• Scrutinize building and site plans submitted to the department and point out deviations from approved layouts.
• Compare field data with existing records and correct errors in land maps before they are finalised.
