Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily welding operations across all active ship construction bays to meet production schedules.

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of welded joints and authorize NDT (non-destructive testing) for critical weld zones.
• Plan and allocate welding resources including manpower, consumables, and equipment to meet project milestones efficiently.
• Liaise with the structural engineering team to resolve design ambiguities and implement approved engineering change orders at the welding stage.
• Maintain accurate records of welder qualifications, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports (NCRs) for each vessel under construction.
• Train and mentor junior welders and technicians in advanced welding techniques, safety protocols, and shipyard-specific quality standards.
• Evaluate and recommend new welding technologies and consumables to improve joint quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in ship building.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: DAE or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Welding Technology from a recognized institution.
• Experience: 5–7 years of hands-on welding supervision experience in shipbuilding, heavy engineering, or offshore fabrication.
• Key Skills: Welding procedure qualification, NDT coordination, SMAW/MIG/TIG/SAW processes, team leadership, quality documentation.
• Certifications: CSWIP 3.1, AWS CWI, or equivalent welding inspector certification is a strong advantage.

Plasma Machine Operator

Job Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC plasma cutting machines to cut steel plates and structural sections according to ship construction drawings.

Electrician

Gas Cutter

Steel Fabricator
