Job Responsibilities:
- Enforce traffic laws and regulations to ensure road safety and orderly traffic flow across KP cities.
- Direct and control vehicular and pedestrian traffic at intersections, crossings, and during special events.
- Issue traffic violation citations and educate the public on traffic rules and safe driving practices.
- Investigate minor traffic accidents and prepare detailed accident reports.
- Assist senior police officers in traffic management during emergencies and VIP movements.
- Monitor and report traffic congestion patterns to recommend improvements.
- Supervise traffic wardens and junior staff assigned to traffic duties.
- Maintain accurate records of traffic violations, fines collected, and court appearances.
- Coordinate with transport authorities on road safety initiatives and awareness campaigns.
- Testify in traffic courts regarding violations and accidents as required.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent from recognized board of Pakistan or abroad.
- Age Limit: 18 to 25 years (reckoned on January 1, 2026). As per Police Rules, age relaxation in upper age limit shall not be allowed.
- Domicile: Pakistani citizens possessing domicile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (including merged districts). Only one domicile permitted.
- Gender: Both Male & Female.
- Physical Standards (Male): Height 5’7″ (170 cm), Chest 33 x 34½ inches, Race 1600 meters in 8:00 minutes.
- Physical Standards (Female): Height 5’1″ (155 cm), Chest exempted, Race 1000 meters in 8:00 minutes.
