Job Responsibilities

• Develop and execute end-to-end procurement strategies for indirect goods, services, and capital expenditure items required for the Jamshoro Thermal Power Station’s operational and project requirements.
• Lead all sourcing activities including market research, supplier identification, Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes, bid evaluation, and supplier selection in compliance with JPCL’s procurement policies.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve optimal terms on price, quality, delivery timelines, and after-sales support for power plant spare parts, equipment, and services.
• Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle from award through performance monitoring, variation management, and close-out, ensuring suppliers deliver in line with agreed contract terms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers and internal stakeholders across engineering, operations, and finance departments to align procurement activities with business objectives.
• Manage supplier performance through defined KPIs, conducting periodic performance reviews and implementing improvement plans for underperforming vendors within the approved supplier base.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives, value engineering opportunities, and procurement process improvements to optimize JPCL’s indirect spending and capital procurement efficiency.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with applicable government procurement regulations (PPRA), financial rules, and JPCL’s internal policies and audit requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Significant experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in the power generation, energy, or heavy industrial sector.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of JPCL’s comprehensive Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) management system across all power plant operations and auxiliary facilities.
• Develop and implement SHE policies, procedures, work instructions, and training programs to ensure all plant personnel understand and comply with applicable safety requirements.
• Conduct periodic safety audits, workplace risk assessments, and hazard identification reviews across the Thermal Power Station, identifying non-compliances and driving timely corrective actions.
• Lead incident and accident investigations to determine root causes and contributing factors, developing and tracking implementation of corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure full compliance with Pakistan’s national occupational health, safety, and environmental regulatory requirements, and align JPCL’s SHE practices with applicable international standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Manage environmental compliance for the Thermal Power Station, monitoring emissions, effluent discharges, and waste management practices to ensure adherence to environmental permits and regulatory limits.
• Drive a visible safety leadership culture across the organization by conducting safety walks, toolbox talks, safety campaigns, and behavioral safety coaching with operations and maintenance personnel.
• Prepare and submit periodic HSE performance reports, incident statistics, and regulatory compliance reports to JPCL management and relevant government authorities.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health & Safety from an HEC-recognized university.
• Certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent international HSE certification preferred.

Assistant Manager (Banking, Payroll & Insurance)

Job Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end employee payroll processing function for JPCL, ensuring accurate and timely computation of salaries, deductions, allowances, increments, and final settlements for all categories of employees.
• Ensure payroll compliance with applicable tax regulations (income tax withholding), social security contributions, EOBI payments, and other statutory deductions, maintaining accurate records for annual tax filings.
• Coordinate JPCL’s banking operations including management of bank accounts, processing of financial transactions, liaison with banking partners, and reconciliation of bank statements on a timely basis.
• Manage JPCL’s corporate insurance portfolio including employee health and life insurance, plant and machinery insurance, and other asset and liability coverages — coordinating renewals, claims, and policy reviews.
