About Forest Department, Government of KP

Forest Department KPK Jobs 2026. The Forest Department of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is one of the most vital provincial departments responsible for conserving, protecting, and sustainably managing the province’s vast forest cover — one of Pakistan’s most significant and ecologically critical forest ecosystems. KP’s forests span millions of hectares across the northern mountains, valleys, and watersheds, providing essential ecosystem services including water regulation, biodiversity conservation, carbon sequestration, and livelihoods for forest-dependent communities.

Through its watershed and forest divisions, the department manages critical water catchment areas, controls deforestation, combats illegal logging, and implements reforestation programs. The Forest Guard is the frontline field officer of this mission — patrolling forests, protecting wildlife, enforcing forest laws, and engaging with local communities. The current recruitment across Buner Watershed Division (Swari), Dor Watershed Division (Abbottabad), and Allai Forest Division (Shangla) offers young men from these districts the opportunity to serve in a regular government position and become stewards of KP’s natural heritage.
